About Julie O’Connell

Kia ora! I’m Julie O’Connell, an experienced, qualified counsellor offering therapy and counselling services in Queenstown and Central Otago. I work with women, men, mixed genders, couples, and youth, and have trained in person-centred psychotherapy – the humanistic modality which draws on the quality of the therapeutic relationship, empowering YOU to make changes in your life.

I provide counselling and supervision services to a variety of professionals/agencies, both in Queenstown and Central Otago.

“I have lived in Queenstown for over 30 years, and have a long history of working with people in various settings.”

Julie understands that one of the most important factors in achieving positive outcomes from counselling is the relationship between counsellor and client.

It’s essential that you feel safe, respected, and truly heard throughout the process. To help you decide if her approach feels right for you, Julie starts with a free 15-minute introductory chat – a chance to connect, ask questions, and see if working together feels like a good fit.
