About Julie

I am a qualified counsellor, with a Diploma in Counselling, a Diploma in Health & Human Behavior, and a Certificate in Child Protection. I support clients who present with issues, including trauma, abuse, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, work and identity issues. I work with women, men, mixed genders, couples, and youth.

I have lived in Queenstown for over 30 years, and have a long work history involving working with people.

I provides services to a number of local non-government social service agencies, both in Queenstown and Central Otago.

I have an authentic, honest approach and encourages a healthy awareness and self determination in my work. I have trained in the humanistic model ‘person-centred therapy’ which draws on YOU having the power to make the changes in your life.

I am a member of the NZ Association of Counsellors, the governing body for counsellors in New Zealand. Membership to this organisation requires appropriate qualifications, time in the field, a minimum number of hours practice, and evidence of ongoing training.

What this means for you is that you can feel confident in my ability and support.
